As far we know(like you noticed) Google is top search engine fairy competitive among Yahoo, MSN, Bing, Ask, etc.. I found a different look on how Google can be top and achieve this in quick time. First we take a look at those four search engine.

Try make some search for example with keyword "not world news"(damn why example suppose to be my blog address?he3). There you might see a differences indexing time/speed. It various among them and different result too right?

How Google can be top on my opinion is their look. Google so calm, steady and have it own personalize. NO ADS , this is most great part about Google. I don't even care about the news/artist info,etc.. So simply i choose Google. This not mean Google not provide the news but NOT AT THEIR SE PAGE.
